Getting to UniNE

The town of Neuchâtel is nestled between the shores of Switzerland's largest lake (at an altitude of 435 m) and the mountains (La Chaux-de-Fonds : 1000m). Its climate is mild, with temperatures averaging between 25° C and 30° in summer and between 5°C et -5°C in winter.

Neuchâtel is a small, friendly town with a population of 32,000, offering an excellent standard of living. It has a number of educational establishments, and a large student population.

Neuchâtel is a 40-minute train journey from Bern and Lausanne and just over an hour from Geneva, an hour and a half from Zurich, 4 hours from Paris and 6 hours from Brussels.

 

The University is in the city itself, and is easily accessible by public transport from the center.

From the center of the city take bus 101 (Marin) or 121 (Piscines) and alight at the "Université" stop, right outside the main building, on Avenue du 1er-Mars 26 for the
