Research Interests

My research interests are in the field of bacterial-fungal interactions. More specifically, I am interested in the relationship between fungi and their endobacteria. Such interactions are well-studied in plants and throughout the animal kingdom. However, less is known about their roles and impacts on fungal biology. In my PhD project, I am particularly interested in understanding the roles of endobacteria in Fusarium and Trichoderma species. I am also interested in how antibiotics influence the endobacteria communities and the fungi themselves.
