Les sociétés "multiculturelles" : essentialisme / anti-essentialisme. Quelques réflexions de base. Textes : Wimmer 2003, Baumann 1996 et Wicker 1997 "Adult Southallians were no less relativist than their children in discussing culture and community. Even assuming that community was a matter of birthplace, as the dominant discourse so often does, some Southallians could, among friends, squeeze a laugh out of the absurdities of ethnic classification. Description
Les réflexions de ce cours porteront sur les phénomènes des processus migratoires. Les concepts-clés de ces phénomènes seront abordés dans une perspective ethnologiques et approfondis à l'aide d'études empiriques et d'éléments théoriques. Les questions centrales auxquelles il s'agira de répondre seront les suivantes : Que faut-il comprendre par migration et quelles sont les conséquences qui en découlent ? Quelles formes les migrations prennent-elles aujourd'hui ? Comment la décision de migrer se prend-elle ? Quelles sont les caractéristiques des sociétés multiculturelles ? Quelles sont les mesures qui contribuent à l'intégration des migrants et que faut-il comprendre par nouvelles formes de flux migratoires ? Pourquoi parle-t-on, aujourd'hui, du caractère circulaire des migrations ? Telles sont quelques-unes des questions auxquelles le cours s'efforcera de répondre.
Objectif du cours
Connaissance des thèmes et concepts centraux du phénomène de la migration dans une perspective ethnologique.
Aspects pédagogiques
Le cours comprendra des temps de présentation et de discussion. Les étudiant-e-s sont impliqué-e-s dans le déroulement du cours par des présentations, des débats et des petits exercices de terrain.
Pour garantir une discussion intéressante, les participant-e-s sont prié-e-s de lire comme préparation les textes signalés par un * astérisque dans la bibliographie et mentionnés dans le tableau du programme. Les textes se trouvent dans un classeur à la bibliothèque.
