In this course, we will introduce the main ethical principles in human and animal experimentation. We will then review such topics as the social value of science, the benefit-harm analysis, the 3R principles, informed consent, the selection of participants, working with vulnerable persons and communities, and confidentiality. After a theoretical introduction, we will discuss together practical cases.
