Jansen, Gunnar

The main focus of my research is on developing numerical tools to gain a better understanding of the processes involved in the subsurface, especially mechanic processes. To this end I take interest in coupled processes from fluid dynamics, solid mechanics and heat transport. Further research interests include the numerical methods for complex systems, plasticity models and the earthquake cycle.
