Kakurina, Maria
I have always been interested in geomodeling, geomechanics and engineering geology and, therefore, I have been focusing my studies in those fields for the last few years. Currently I am doing a Ph.D. research at the Centre for Hydrogeology and Geothermics (CHYN) in Neuchâtel. The objective of my project is to better understand the stress state in the vicinity of a fault zone at different scale and how it affects fault stability. The project is a component of the Fault-Slip (FS) experiment at the Mont-Terri laboratory in Switzerland.
