Conférence Internationale 22-23 octobre 2015
L’Académie du journalisme et des médias et l’Institut d’Entreprise de l’Université de Neuchâtel.
La conférence vise à attirer l’attention sur les principales contraintes et catalyseurs du développement des médias dans différentes régions de l’Afrique. Il s’agit en particulier d’analyser les facteurs qui pourraient contribuer à combler les lacunes de capitaux financiers et de compétences, ainsi qu’à renforcer l’impact de l’aide internationale sur la pérennisation des médias.
Programme:
22 octobre: la communauté universitaire présentera l'état de l'art sur la viabilité des médias dans les pays en développement.
23 octobre: Des représentants internationaux d'investisseurs potentiels, des entrepreneurs de médias indépendants et la communauté des donateurs présenteront leurs points de vue et débattront des solutions de coopération possibles pour la viabilité des médias d’information en Afrique. Des académiciens contribueront également à la discussion en réfléchissant sur les moyens permettant d’intégrer les besoins et les idées des praticiens dans des programmes de recherche futurs

Academy and Journalism and Media & Enterprise Institute, University of Neuchâtel
Aim of the conference is to shed light on (1) how media are developing in different parts of Africa as well as on the main constraints and enablers in this process, and (2) what factors might help bridge financial and human capital gaps to strengthen long-term impact of international support on media sustainability.
Program:
October 22: The academic community will present the state of the art of research on media sustainability in developing countries.
October 23: International representatives of potential investors, independent media entrepreneurs and the donor community present their views and discuss possible and viable cooperative solutions to news media sustainability in Africa. Academics will contribute to the discussion and reflect on ways for integrating practitioners’ needs and ideas in a future practice oriented research agenda.
