The Coordinators of External Affairs (CEA), Soraya Tourya Elkadiri-Jan and Jason Grant, initiate and maintain contacts with the NCCR partners and users, ensure an effective communication flow from and to the NCCR, and coordinate public events.

In collaboration with the CEA, the Communication Officer (CO), Igor Chlebny is establishing communication concepts for events aimed at public understanding of science. Other tasks of the CO include the edition of the NCCR newsletter, PS News, and the writing and distribution of press releases in order to stimulate the implication of media representatives for agricultural and environmental issues.
