Other events aim to increase the awareness of technology transfer issues and to support communication between researchers and partners of a particular field.

Visit of an organic vineyard
On September 19, 2002, after a Participants meeting focusing on the grapevine fungal disease, Botrytis cinerea, the participants and partners visited the exploitation of Maurice Lambert, an organic winegrower in St-Aubin (NE) and exchanged practical aspects of disease control and management in vineyards.

A day in the wildflower strips, Fribourg/Düdingen, September 5, 2002
This workshop, organised by the postdoctoral scientist Armin Bischoff (University of Fribourg), attracted 23 participants. The attendees included researchers and representatives from partner organisations (FiBL, LBL, SRVA, FAL, HS Wädenswil) as well as industry (UFA Samen). Following the presentation of the project, a discussion between researchers working in similar areas, agricultural experts, and counsellors was initiated. The meeting was closed by a visit of the experimental plots in Düdingen (FR).

Meeting with the Commission for Technology and Innovation, Neuchâtel, August 26, 2002
Four representatives from the Swiss Commission for Technology and Innovation attended this meeting to discuss funding possibilities for research projects of high application potential with members of the Management and Coordination Unit, senior scientists (13 people) and partners (3 institutions represented). Following the meeting, a script summarising the gained information and particularities of research in agricultural and ecology was prepared and distributed to interested researchers and partners.
