Mobility

NCCR Plant Survival promotes mobility in order to expose students to different research environments and to have them present their work to others in the scientific community. This will be accomplished by:

  • Encouraging and sponsoring students to visit partner groups where they will acquire further research experience.
  • Offering doctoral students the opportunity to present their work at workshops and international congresses.

Visit of a laboratory - Mobility

The Graduate School offers the possibility for all participants to visit another laboratory for several weeks. The purpose of such a visit is to broaden expertise, to learn new techniques, and employ novel techniques that are not available in the home lab. Funds are available for such visits.

A standard Mobility request form to request funding for the mobility programme must be completed. Decisions on financial support for visits will be based on the quality, added value and importance for the project.

Priority will be given to exchanges between laboratories involved in the NCCR Plant Survival network (including foreign partners).

Reimbursement form to be sent to Dr. Christiane Bobillier.

Presentation at workshops and international congresses

Doctoral students that are part of the NCCR (including self-funded students) can apply for a competitive travel grant.

A minimum of 6 NCCR credit points will have to be obtained before students are considered for such grants.

To apply, a Congress travel grant request form has to be filled in, at least 3 months before the congress.

Reimbursement form to be sent to Dr. Christiane Bobillier.
