Professional Networking - How to develop and maintain your professional network

Summary and Objectives

What use is the best product, the best services offering if the funding is lacking for the project or you have not found the right people to realize the project?

And how many development project could have a larger success if teams from different labs could help each other more, creating an effective competence network?

A good professional network will help each and everyone to find the right partners, to get the help needed at the right moment and, finally, to succeed in his undertaking.

This course provides a series of concrete tools which can be used in every day professional situations. Several practical exercises allow to test the theory during the day.
This class should allow participants to :

  • Know a few basics about how to develop a professional network
  • Understand how to apply these techniques in real life
  • Analyse their current professional network
  • Develop an action plan to enhance and maintain their network

The results should be measurable: a better effectiveness in finding professional partners or in obtaining funding

Target group: This workshop is open to all

Speaker

Caroline Gueissaz, M Sc. EPFZ

She acquired her professional networking experience as a marketing representative and consultant with IBM (12 years). She then joined the Neuchâtel Economic Devleopment Agency (4 years). She is now a partner with Vaccani, Zweig & Associates Managment Consultants and gives professional networking classes at the Neuchâtel and Fribourg Universities of Applied Sciences and at the FSRM.
